thedontcarebear
She is here, very light weight! The gigbag is awful?! Not been able to play it properly yet, but some photos...
thedontcarebear
I know its not the main point, but why bother with a gigbag that isn't even worth a tenner?! It's awful, you could not actually use it for a gig, no padding.
Woodinblack
Thats beautiful. I don't really like fenders that much and I don't play a 4 string, but that finish is great (well, I think the scratch plate ruins it a bit, but it comes off!). Yes, the gig bag idea is silly. its not like it is a budget range instrument, a decent quality gig bag that you can actually use costs very little from a manufacturers point of view, why not provide one?
stewblack
That's a work of art.
thedontcarebear
Playing awesome now I've put some 40-95 strings on it, sound is what you would expect from a passive classic jazz to be honest.
BlueMoon
The patterns are distinctive and the colours really match very nicely. Overall, the effect is superb.
Lozz196
That is a beautiful instrument, just looks stunning.
PaulThePlug
Thats a 'Jizz-Jazz'... So preety... Does the finish go under the plate? - Shame to hide a third of it... custom clear or smoked guard?... nice with the mable block neck... is it good for 'petal' Edited August 16, 2020 by PaulThePlug
thedontcarebear
I didn't take the pickguard off when I changed strings, but I can see silver through the thumb rest and pickup cover screw holes - so it must be under there.
AndyTravis
I love the look of these. Clear guard though - needs it!

Looks amazing but intrigued to see what it looks like with out the pickguard or as @AndyTravis said a clear might just look sooo cool ! stewblack
The black guard picks up the black edge of the body surrounding the paisley. It also ties the body to the neck via the black blocks. The effect of black either side alters how the paisley is perceived by strengthening the background. Trust me, taking it off would entirely dilute the effect.

stewblack
Just now, Adee said: I know what you mean ... BUT ... I don't trust you 😉 That's the kind of spiel I used to have to dish out to wealthy housewives when I worked for an interior designer. To convince them that their new cushion didn't ruin the ambience of the drawing room. The biggest waste of money and time I've ever been involved with.

Musicman20
Looks excellent. They've nailed that paisley.
thedontcarebear
To be honest, I don't think I'll be changing the pick guard! I do like it how it is, and I try not to change anything on my basses nowadays.
