Platypus Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 (edited) <<< NOW SOLD>>> Lakland 5501 Dlx 5 string. The bass has had the pickups upgraded with Nordstrang Fatstack at the bridge and Big Single at the neck. A Glockenklang 3 band pre is fitted which also allows full passive use. When in passive mode, the treble pot becomes a tone control. I bought this bass from GarBev a while back and am selling as I have aquired three basses lately and can't keep tham all - I'm also favouring 4 strings at the moment. Comes with a fitted ABS hard case Reuse of Garbev's pics here Link to original add here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...2&hl=garbev I'm based in Harrow Middx, any trial welcome. Platypus Posted March 14, 2009 Author Posted March 14, 2009
Very nice Paul - how's it sound?
There's a great range of tones available, Alan. I also like having the full passive option (with tone control) there a great sound there too.
molan Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 I know I've said this a few times recently but this really is a great bass at a great price - especially with the Nordstrands & Glock pre

Macko1968 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Cant believe this is still here, great bass with truly tasteful upgrades.
Golchen Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 It's the bright colour that puts me off. I wonder what it would cost to get it refinished in a different colour?
lee650 Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 I love the colour exactly the same as my musicman sterling, just gorgeous - lee
