SOLD Ibanez SR-755 NTF - 5 string rare PJ setup - £450 £450 Steeple Morden

Here is a fantastic condition (I would put as 9.5 out of 10) rare Ibanez 5 string. They don't make this model anymore - my theory is that the combo of bubinga and rosewood made this a CITES nightmare, so the following models ditched these gorgeous woods. The photos do not do it justice - the bubinga has a rich red warmth, and I think the bass oozes class. 

I have owned her from new in 2015. This has the CND Nordstrand licensed pickups that are also on the 655 and similar models. It is the reverse P and J setup. They are really clear and rich. It has the standard 3 band Ibanez preamp. The switch is an active/passive switch, and it is a true passive bypass. I think the PUPs sound beautiful in passive mode, but extra crisp with the preamp engaged. These easily compete with the full-fat US Nordstrands (read some talkbass forums that rave about them).

String spacing is 16.5mm and it has 24 frets and 34 inch scale. It has one of those super fast Ibanez necks.

On the scales it weighs 4.2kg.

I'm located in South Cambridgeshire, in a village near Royston (about an hour from London). Pickup preferred but can post at cost to buyer. 

This bass has never been gigged, and hardly leaves the house. I have been meticulous not to damage the wood with my thumb etc. The ONLY mark I could find is on the edge at the base of the instrument, and is an almost imperceptible 2 indents in the wood. I've tried to photograph it, and only one of them even comes up. So I would put it in almost as new condition. 

The reason for selling is that I've recently bought another 5 string, and have a one out one in policy. 

Price is £450. I think this is a very fair price, so there is not a whole lot of wiggle room. But do get in touch if you'd like to discuss.
