Sent it to my luthier man with a new set of MTD strings for a set up, clean and check up. I was keen to learn this with the extra string so I bought a ‘Tutorial’. Ha! Needless to say it’s still sat sitting there unused apart from the odd noodle. Gave it a blast thro’ my ‘Rig’, the Bart Pre and Pups really sing compared to anything I’ve used before. This specification puts the retail price up there in the £1,500.00 ball park, grab a 35” scale bargain. Gig Bag, tutorial (online registration unused) and, obviously, the new strings and set up all in the price, collection or meet up. For overseas shipping the bass will be well packed. Cost at the expense of recipient. With all the Malarkey that’s going on, no gigs, corvid jobby, a minor health issue (now) its not going to be used by me, in the foreseeable future. This bass is Immaculate, it plays like a dream, the neck is particularly smooth and easy to reach even the dusty end. It looks good, for the life of me I regret not discovering MTD Basses earlier on in my GAS quest! There you have it. String width at the Nut = from ‘B’ 10mm, 10mm, 9mm, 9mm, 8mm. String width at the Bridge = from ‘B’ 18mm each string. I’m sticking to 5ivers and MTD are in my sights. Could look at a partial trade, but this is priced to sell, so don’t be offended if I say no thank you.
