How Presence works on an amp.

I just came across this video and it struck me that i didnt know this. I always thought it was just an extra EQ knob in the preamp section. 

Life seems a bit more complete now 😁

Colin is very knowledgeable and even though his channel is bascially guitar he does do bass videos sometimes too.

Yeah, I like his channel. I don’t follow every video be he has some great information on the channel.

That's an excellent video, but yet again it underlines the damage done by tinnitus.

I genuinely hear no difference at all between those two Presence settings. Whatever is happening is happening close to the frequencies where my hearing is most damaged.

It should be noted that different manufacturers might have different definitions of presence also, so what may be obvious on one amp bay not follow intuitively on all amps that label a control or switch "presence".
