Highfox Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 The force is strong! These seemed to be a favourite on here a few years back. The upcoming release of a new roadworn line is interesting but think I prefer the feel of a U shape and 7.25 fingerboard and the colour is to die for Still using/ enjoying yours? Quote

I've sort of got two. The neck went wibble on the one I bought and I replaced it with a graphite neck from Status. I'm currently building an early 60's jazz bass around the replacement Flea neck that Fender sent me. The original sounds great and the build version is shaping up very nicely too. They come up for sale reasonably often if you don't want to buy new. 1 Quote
machinehead Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Mine is my favourite gigging Bass. It’s the equal of my two US Jazzes for feel and sounds. It’s liberating not having to worry about damaging it. Frank. 2 Quote

Stub Mandrel Posted August 31, 2020 Posted August 31, 2020 Well it gets played more than any of my other basses. It isn't very loud, but other than that... 1 Quote
police squad Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 still got mine, I was playing it at work the other day. nicely worn it after about 150 gigs Quote

Been toying with getting Jon Shuker to make me a 5 string fanned fret version of this beauty. Would be delicious! Would have to wait til next year at least though... Quote
fretmeister Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 I really fancy one of the active almost stingray ones. I'll never find one under 8lb though Quote

I think I only have one that is a smidge under 8 and that's a Custom Shop. My Flea (active) is only 9.3lbs, so not far off. Quote
fretmeister Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 I've got a 6.5lb, a 7.5lb and a 7.75lb And then two 9lb that will be going sooner or later. So I don't really need another bass, but you know! Quote
White Cloud Posted September 1, 2020 Posted September 1, 2020 I did like mine; a great 60's jazz replica that looked and more importantly felt right. A couple of little things ground my gears (the bridge pickup routing was very oversized for the pup and looked as though it had been gouged out by a blunt teaspoon!) ... however, overall good bang for buck. 1 Quote
bagsieblue Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 I built one.... Genuine Flea Roadworn Body Lakland Skyline Neck Tonerider Pickups (have tried a few different pups in but these work well) Kiogon S1Loom 4 Quote
gjones Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 I have one of the original, Fiesta Red, Road Worn Jazzes. I tried the Flea Jazz and actually preferred the feel and sound of it, to my Road Worn. I wasn't too keen on the relic job on the body though, it seemed a bit fake. I did like the wear on the neck though. My Road Worn doesn't have any wear on the neck. Quote
Highfox Posted September 17, 2020 Author Posted September 17, 2020 I ended up getting one in the end. No regrets, nice bass with the road worn feel. Quote
police squad Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 mine currently 'For Sale' in the ad section. I'm thinning the herd at the moment Quote

Stub Mandrel Posted September 17, 2020 Posted September 17, 2020 I have a problem with mine. It's stopping me from playing my other basses... Quote
