stewblack Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 What annoys me most about the channel is how damn effortlessly good you are. Harumph. 1 Quote

The last time I tried for a completely clean take of a song, I ended up recording the audio with multiple drop ins and miming on the vid. I mimed so badly - that didn't even work. 1 Quote

Can I make a request, full Simmons costume to do a video with the same framing. Just put a little bit of a Clown White on the chin. No need for the full face. Would be great 🤘 2 Quote

Also loved Sir Duke, as I find it interesting seeing how different people approach the line plus I could hear some of the fills far more clearly 1 Quote

fretmeister Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 Idea - is it worth having a pinned post with a sort of directory of all members youtube channels? With a lack of gigs there seem to be more of them now and it would be great to find them in 1 place. @ped What do you think? 3 Quote

Pinned posts get ignored and aren't maintained so I don't think so - probably best to keep your own channel thread or signature updated and get people to follow it in YT. 1 Quote

fretmeister Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 I really like the Sir Duke version. I've never heard it with a plectrum before. I've been playing a big band arrangement of it for so long I can't remember how to play the original! 1 Quote

So many great selections and you've nailed all of them (including Rio with a plectrum). Agreed, and played on a Hagstrom Super Swede for added authenticity 1 Quote
