It was taken from Chad Smith's "Red Hot Rhythm Method" instructional video from 1993.

Nope. Flea's got his own instructional video called "Adventures In Spontaneous Jamming And Techniques".

I think he started using GK cabs around Californication era.

He used Mesa Diesel cabs on the Californication tour, it was the By The Way tour that saw him switch to GK RBH cabs.
