Hi Folks,

For sale only is my Hartke HA5500 Amp which I bought on Basschat last year from @Linus27

This is the big brother to the more commonly seen HA3500 head, which is now acknowledged as one of the classic bass amp designs - a testament to Larry Hartke's impact on the bass world over the last 30 years or so...

The amp is in very good working order and is in great condition comes with a Stagg case which makes it really portable. See photos below. 

This is an amazingly versatile amp that is 500 watts and it really is mega loud and has plenty of 'heft' ! 😁  No wonder it was Billy Sheehan's 'go to' amp of choice for years!! 

It delivers 500 watts at 4 ohms and 330 watts at 8 ohms. It has a tube preamp (a single 12AX7) and a solid state preamp with the option to blend the two sounds - which is a really great feature. 

Apart from the two preamp option, it has other fantastic tone shaping features which are extremely easy to use, including a fantastic compressor and a switchable 10-band graphic EQ.

And as if that wasn't enough, it also has a low pass and high pass contour filter. To be honest, I have always tended to use these 2 contour controls instead of the graphic EQ to dial in my sound, but if that's your thing, then the graphic gives you loads of additional control over your sound.

I'm only selling because I've got too many amps and not enough gigs! And, when I was gigging more regularly before the lockdown, I tended to always use my full valve amp...
