Clarky Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Based on the above, the OP's Jazz bass is definitely an accurate representation of LPB and the Mustang looks like the more modern Ice Blue Quote
BigRedX Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Depends on when the various photographs of the cars and guitars were taken. Also as you can see from the swatch chart above the colours fade by different amounts over time. Quote
Happy Jack Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 Can you show me a Mink De Ville in Candy Apple Red? Asking for a friend. Quote

Happy Jack Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 The first time I saw one of these Caddys up close and personal, the one thing that genuinely astonished me was how little space there was inside. As the song says, "I got me a car that's as big as a whale", yet you can just about fit two full-sized adults in the front, the back only has room for a couple of (small) children. 1 Quote
Reggaebass Posted September 7, 2020 Posted September 7, 2020 While we’re talking colour blues, another jazz I looked at was ocean turquoise , it looked pretty blue to me , it was really nice , here’s one Quote

lemonstar Posted September 10, 2020 Posted September 10, 2020 (edited) Blue is one colour I generally dislike quite a lot TBH - I never chose it for anything, e.g. paint in the house - HOWEVER - I think LPB looks great on a bass - no idea why. One I liked the look of is this custom (Moniker) Zuma Yonit Spiegelman had made - I think the maple and white colours set it off nicely:- Edited September 10, 2020 by lemonstar Quote

My friend had a Tokai Telecaster in his shop with the same LPB + binding. Was one of the nicest looking guitars I've seen. Quote
