Oxnard Montalvo
I love an oil finished bass - I’m a total sucker for it. Similarly, I love an unfinished neck, at least the playing area. I think I just really like to see and feel the wood.

Big J
Smooth worn waxed neck on aged fenders with dulled metals. Real or reproduced, I can’t walk past anything that’s worn without checking it out.

I really love the feel of a well worn-in, played-in lacquer finished neck. It just turns so nice and smooth after years of playing! Look-wise, I really love to look at the carbon weave of my Status necks. Edited October 28, 2020 by LeftyJ
TheGreek
Satin finish neck, light strings, well balanced basses under 9lbs. Love a nicely figured body and neck too. A good balance of aesthetics and usability.

Low End Bee
Something without tort or sunburst involved. Even worse is gold hardware. Quirky older designs are what visually appeal to me. I'd love a Mosrite or a Ric. Although my No 1 bass is a sunburst P Bass🤔 At least I swapped to a black plate to make it slightly more bearable.
