Marti T
Hi Can anybody please advise One of my 4 string basses has a set of smooth feeling, flat/hybrid strings - they have blue silk at top and bottom and the ball ends are different colours (copper, red, black and green from E to G) I’d love another set if anybody can advise what they are I suspect Ernie Ball slinky Cobalt (not the cobalt flats which I think have purple silks?) or possibly D’Addrio? Marti T
Thank you both, much appreciated. I’m ordering more, don’t even remember buying them but I definitely prefer them to my EB Chromes.
Lever4Ever
The strings look just like D'Addario strings. I have these on my Fender Five Jazz.

It had never occurred to me before but now you mention it I’m wondering if I should try tuning it to DADF? Did slightly better lining the new ones up but still not perfect and Im also concerned that the blue may not look quite right against my new post box red bass
Marti T
Bit pricey but they last a long time if you don’t mind the mellower tone
