yonni
This maybe an odd question, but... I like to keep the nails on both hands really short as I guess most of you do too. All the nail clippers I get from Boots or the supermarket go blunt really quickly and I gave to replace them. Any recommendations for where I can find decent clippers that’ll last? Baxlin
For years I have used the scissors on my mini Swiss Army knife rather than clippers. I find I can use them with my left hand as well as my right. It lives on my key ring so always available..... Jean-Luc Pickguard
I can't use clippers as they never cut properly for me. I use the scissors on my swiss army knife. Mine is the cybertool but there are smaller ones with the same scissors.
ahpook
Another vote here for the scissors from a Swiss Army knife, clippers don't seem to cut my nails cleanly.
yonni
Whenever I use scissors I always cut too short and end up with sore fingers. I really need clippers but thanks for replying. Interesting that you all use Swiss Army knives. Is the a trade secret?
Reggaebass
These are by far the best, I work for the Nhs and got a small pair off one of the podiatrists for my fingernails, they cut really clean, and stay sharp

Good tip, thanks. I’ve just left the NHS myself after 8 years.

Oopsdabassist
I really like the dinky ones, take up no room at all in the pocket of my jeans Must be on my 5th now, bits break, get lost etc.....
ahpook
I have no idea what kind of Swiss Army Knife I have...I stole it off my best friend. My penknife comes straight from a blues song. Edited September 10, 2020 by ahpook
BreadBin
I use the Stylfile S clipper, looks like a regular nail clipper but has overlapping surgical steel scissor action blades. I keep my plucking finger nails really short, but they are all clipped with the above and then finished off with a diamond file.

Hellzero
I bought my clipper with an integrated file by my pharmacist some 30 years ago, still have it and working fine. My sister in-law is a medical pedicure : I can ask her what are the best brands for clippers or pliers...
yonni
I ended up buying a set of these They’re very light and have a very powerful lever. I nearly cut myself several times with these as they are so sharp. I think they’ll last a good while.
