         2008 USA model just after the S-1 switch had been discontinued from the Precisions. 

Point of interest the S-1 switches are fine on Elite Strats & Teles but unsuccessful with the use on the split coil Precisions. It changed the config of the pickups to either series or parallel. Split coils on the Precision are normally wired in series I.e. D.C. resistance say 5.7k + 5.7k = 11.4k. Wired parallel would be about 2.8k giving a more brighter and anaemic tone that’s why the switch was dropped.

Anyway, beautiful condition and perfect working order. I replaced the scratchplate with a black jap one because I think it looks better but the original white USA included. There should be no fudging of plate holes as I never screw tight. There is a tiny dink on the back of the neck, other than that the usual faint scuffing arc from playing (difficult to show in pics) which you see on every guitar that’s been played.

Strings through Alder body. Typical sound, warm, big, balanced across the strings and a fundamental thump. (what a description!)

New set of Ernies 100-45 thrown in.
