Chienmortbb
I have two black basses with chips in the Poly finish. Is there and easy way to repair them? Edited September 21, 2020 by Chienmortbb
Reggaebass
Nail polish works quite well for small chips 🙂
Bigguy2017
If it's just the clearcoat then fill with super glue + wet & dry sanding works - Micromesh is excellent I've heard good things about Gluboost https://gluboost.com/flexible-repair-finish-products/ https://thetonebar.co.uk/more-gluboost-products/
Thunderpaws
Resurrection of this thread as I’m gutted that my new bass has received its first major ding. It’s been relatively unmarked for 18 years until I received it this week. Distraction caused by children (please let the summer holidays end) has led to this. Dent with paint broken at the trough of the dent. Photo makes it look bigger than it is, but it’s on the top bought so really visible. is this the type of thing that gluboost is designed to repair?

Ouch! Mind you, first one in 18 years is good going.
