What have you done lately that made you look in the mirror and shake your head? What historic bass related embarrassment still haunts you in the wee small hours?

I'll start. I just bought an ABY pedal. Jolly useful little chaps. What sets me above the herd, so I thought, was that mine has level controls for both outputs. Oh and only cost 15 earth pounds.

What I failed to notice was that I have bought the world's only ABY pedal WHICH HAS NO Y.

I can output to A. I can output to B. But not at the same time. Which is, of course, precisely the function for which I bought the darn thing.

A quick read-around seems to indicate it is the more advanced ones that allow you to combine, so you get what you give!

I did try and attach a rocket to my Bass but luckily it fell off before I hit the cliff.......

The ongoing thread on my attempt at transferring 4-track cassttes to audio files has included a couple of nice examples:$!

However, I have been saved by the basschatters before any harm done :). Thanks!!

Piano player here : I am so used to only playing the 3rds and 7ths with my left hand when playing with others that when playing bass I keep leaving out the roots to give the bass player freedom , and then realising I am the bass player .:scratch_one-s_head::facepalm::laugh1:

For the princely sum of £24.99 I can recommend the Fender ABY pedal Stew. Silent switching, works fine for me. A or B and A+B options.
