Bob Haley
I am trying to find an original or reproduction Ibanez truss rod cover for the 2388B bass. It was Ibnez's "homage" to the Rickenbacker 4001. Not interested in trying to pass it off as a Rickenbacker. Thank you.
Skybone
If you have the original, then you could get a custom one made up by Gig Ink. Or you could have a replacement "no name" one made. However, it sounds as though the original TRC is missing (assuming it's been "replaced" by another TRC). Other than the "obvious" other TRC, I would assume that original / NOS 2388B TRC's are as rare as a rare thing during a rare occurrence. Bob Haley
Thanks Skybone. I do not have the original truss rod cover and I cannot seem to find someone who could make me a reproduction.
Skybone
Are you a member of the Rickenfakers group on Facebook? It might be worthwhile putting a request on there, someone might have one kicking about somewhere. Other than that, I'd suggest either trying to find a blank one or a genuine Ric one. Dazed
Here you go my 2388 came with a rickenbastard trc fitted but this was in the case 😎 Edited October 12, 2020 by Dazed
Stingray64
Mine came with a clear cover with white paper underneath that had the logo on so if you wanted I could send you scans or something of them to get it recreated fairly easily.
