TheGreek
Available through a number of outlets, has anybody tried these? I suspect they may be similar to those available from Status (medium length only thus not suitable for 4 inline). https://www.thomann.de/gb/warwick_bass_string_set_040_100.htm?sid=ff534e3375d697ff4049e2b94141667b Also available in 45 gauge: https://shop.warwick.de/en/strings/electric-bass-strings/19381/warwick-black-nylon-tape-wound-bass-string-sets Edited September 27, 2020 by TheGreek

Little Dragon
Always wondered with tapewounds how well they would hold up if played with a plec.

I had a Fender set on my precision for over a year. Admittedly I only play occasionally with a pick but when I do I play quite hard, absolutely no issues whatsoever.
stewblack
This is the kind of serendipity Basschat often pulls off. I was looking at my all black bass this morning and thinking, when I change strings I'm going to look for some affordable black ones. Boom! Mick, starts a thread.
