bubinga5 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Just a bit of fun. Doesnt have to be Fender colours. Trying to get ideas. Ta. I always thought darkers colours worked better. Pics please. 😗 Quote
Lozz196 Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 I have a maple necked black Jazz with black pickguard that looks great, also think sunburst looks good with maple. Quote

Cat Burrito Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I like the simplicity of the vintage white which I can liven up with a funky pickguard. Quote
LeftyJ Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I used to be all for transparent finishes, and as a lefty (traditionally offered a choice between sunburst and black only) I should hate myself for this, but I'm still going to say it: black! Paired with a black 3-ply pickguard I love the luxurious look, especially with white blocks and bindings. Quote
OliverBlackman Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Teal blue/ green Trans finish on a quilted maple body. Can’t find pics though but definitely seen them about Quote
Paul S Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Deep glossy solid piano black is always my personal choice. BWB scratchplate or none if the gubbins is attacked via the rear. My second choice is aged white - that lovely clotted cream colour that old white basses get. Nice WBW scratchplate. Yum. 1 Quote
BigRedX Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 The neck should be the same colour as the body. Quote
ead Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Midnight Wine for me. No pics as the Fender ones all have Rosewood boards, sorry. Quote
Hellzero Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Salmon pink with a tortoise pickguard-scratchplate and cream cover pickups. That's how my next assembly will be. Looks really good just pre-fitted. Need to start working on it. Quote
Mykesbass Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Any of those lovely old Fender colours - Daphne Blue, Sea Foam Green, Fiesta Red etc. Quote

TrevorG Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Prefer au natural with Maple necks though I've never owned one. Lighter colours for me all round. Quote
uk_lefty Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 I like my butterscotch jazz, up close you can see the woodgrain through it. The picture doesn't quite do it justice 1 Quote
