Pinball Posted October 6, 2020 Share Posted October 6, 2020 I have bought a Burns John Rostill bass (repro), that is a bit worse for ware. It has two broken tuners (one left and one right). Any suggestions of where I can get spares or replacements? Skybone Posted October 10, 2020 Share Posted October 10, 2020 It's unfortunate that they are unique to the bass (as fabulous as they are), as the market only seems to carry the more "traditional" clover or Y shaped tuners, with bigger base plates. A "work around" could be to use something like the Licensed Hipshot Ultralite, as the overall footprint is smaller than that of the original tuners. Or take it to a trusted repairer and see if they can fix the originals for you. I also noticed that some had an all metal tuner.
