Arctic White Guitar Paint

[Useless amateur]

Does any one have any recommendations for places online to buy the aforementioned guitar paint please? I know shipping this sort of thing is restricted so not sure of best place to get it from

Hi Jon

Terry Chapman of TJC Guitars did a refin on a bass for me in this colour. He no longer does refins but should be able to advise where to source the paint.

The holts paint you can buy from halfords etc will do a good job it's the same stuff as most standard guitar paint is

We owned a Vauxhall Chevette in the eighties (I know).  It was Arctic White.  It was a readily available colour at the motor factors then too.

If you check my jazz bass build thread that’s exactly what I used - be very careful about your choice of undercoat colour - good advice given in that thread by the folks on here. I found it on eBay - 

reliced up a treat

I didnt know that paint was restricted, but it hasnt stopped me getting paint in the post, as recently  as a couple of days ago.

I think aerosols are restricted actually

That makes it easy to put the white over it too as you can’t miss a spot.

Didn’t know he’d stopped, that’s a shame. Used him on your recommendation last year, did a brilliant job. Had another to put his way ..

Well he had but last time I saw him was a couple of years ago at least, maybe he’s started doing them again now he’s got more room at his new place.

That’s very true

the paint went on nicely but was quite soft for ages

I think it may be only certain couriers that are allowed to ship or maybe suppliers need a special licence. I know my work are not allowed to ship aerosols.
