Ive never heard any bass player play a finger style groove and mix it with slap like Meshell and record the music she has over the years.. Her slap playing is tasteful funky, never ever over the top. Its all for the music and groove. in my opinion. I. think she is playing a Modulus VJ, I could be wrong on that.
