prowla Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Out in the car yesterday I switched on Planet Rock and it was playing Jailbreak, by Thin Lizzy. The "breakout" bit features a siren and I remembered that I had a had a Shaftesbury wah/squall/siren pedal I used for that back when we played it in the band I was in at school; I've still got the pedal somewhere. Well, I took a look on ebay and there's one going for £275 - crikey! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-rare-Shaftesbury-Squall-1970s-guitar-pedal-wah-siren-volume-surf-tornado/254701368522 Are they really worth that much? MartinB Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Potentially! It's a Shin-Ei Wah King, which was sold under various brand and product names in different markets. I think some of Shin-Ei's vintage pedals are (rightly or wrongly) perceived as rare and unique-sounding, so you might have a nice little nest egg there. Quote
prowla Posted October 11, 2020 Author Posted October 11, 2020 (edited) I think it is one of those. Edited October 11, 2020 by prowla Quote
