I found some strings for this that work in standard 5 string low B tuning. Great fun!!

 

Still need to make a truss rod cover though!!

Where did you get these mythical strings?

I found the low B with my usual strings on my 26.5" close to passable, but it didn't set my world on fire. Would be very interested to know what you've got and even better to hear some samples.

I found the Ibanez Mezzo strings worked on this - just the right length on the B string for the tuning post!!

 

 

I've also tried the 4 string sets on my 4 string version of this bass and they were good too.

This is amazing! The craftsmanship is so impressive and it's a beautiful instrument. Is there a video demo or audio recording? It looks like so much fun to play.
