I always thought that in those cases it's because they're collecting history rather than paying for quality as there's lots of people who collect basses around. At this stage it doesn't appeal to me, but  I can definitely see the appeal. I'm strictly a bass user rather than collector.

If you can't take full pleasure in the present you may already be imagining being nostalgic for the future!

I remember when nostalgia used to be something worth looking back on with a fond yearning. Not like the rubbish nostalgia you get these days. I just hope in time to come nostalgia will be as good as it used to be.
