Unless it starts at a figure more than the bass is worth, by the time the auction has run it's course the selling price will the same whether it start high or low. The factor that will keep this particular auction sale price low is the fact that it is collection in person only (from Hull). Quote

CPCustomdubwise Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Is it Basschat Pedantic Weekend ? Also, because I feel an obligation to do so ( being a bit pedantic ) I wish to record an eyebrow raised at the earlier remarks from, of all people, a West Ham fan..... 2 Quote
prowla Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Interestingly, it's had an opening bid of £5. Quote

Beedster Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Have to admit I find the ‘eBay bargain’ thing bloody annoying unless it’s a BIN, in large part because alerting 20,000 or so bass players on this forum to the auction means that it will most certainly not be a bargain, likely just a true reflection of value. Perhaps we should have a polite agreement to not use the term ‘potential bargain’ until the last 24 hours of the auction 1 Quote
Beedster Posted October 25, 2020 Posted October 25, 2020 Although at 2.99 these used plectrums are a bargain https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224206336234 Quote
