scrumpymike
Just a shout out for my mate Scott Whitley, who's generously given the bass community masses of free information and tuition via his website in recent years. After 25 years of playing live with the likes of Big Country and The Animals, Scott suddenly has no gigs and time on his hands thanks to covid. So he's offering to give one-on-one lessons online for just £75 per block of 3 x 1-hr sessions. As those of you who have seen his online video tutorials will know (see example below), Scott is a great teacher who plays with killer technique and loads of flair and knowledge. If you're interested, you can contact him at [email protected] I have no link with Scott except friendship and respect. Reggaebass
Thanks for this mike, Scott is one of my favourite teachers on YouTube, a very good player and very knowledgeable, I still have this video in my collection from about 7 years ago, I used to play a lot of blues so this was great to watch 🙂

Richard Jinman
I’ve been having lessons on zoom with Scott and can highly recommend him. Lovely bloke, great player and a patient, easy to understand teacher.
MungoBass
Many thanks for sharing the information on Scott. I had a peek at his site and checked out one of his lessons. I was very impressed with the way he went slowly through the lesson in such a clear and easy to understand manner. I will be checking out his site in more detail when I have the time and would certainly look into some Zoom lessons with him in the future.
DocTrucker
Both: http://www.scott-whitley.com ...and: http://scottwhitleybasslessons.com/ Not live any more? I'm just following the free version of studybass.com at the moment, but second eyes/guidance on my playing would help on occasion! Just casually researching at the moment, not ready to call for a tutor right now. Edit: He seems to have been going through a very rough time recently and posted a heart felt message on his youtube page. Alas the sites being down doesn't seem to be a simple admin slip: https://www.youtube.com/@ScottWhitley/community Edited April 9 by DocTrucker
TheGreek
Lets hope that he gets better soon. As I said above - I found his slap bass lessons really helpful and the course was free.
