Hellzero
Or how to kill Lemmy twice ! A real shame to do such business on corpses... Ace of Spades is a brilliant album, no need for unreleased songs. If they were unreleased, I think there might be a good reason, no ?
Doctor J
The commercial exploitation of anything to do with Lemmy has been utterly shameless since his passing.
stewblack
A friend of mine recently alerted me to a reissue of a favourite album. Insane price, extra unreleased tracks, booklet etc etc. I don't see the appeal. As op says, there's a reason these tracks didn't make the cut.
Skybone
I'll stick with the original version that I've had for years thanks.
PaulThePlug
Extra tracks... With moving from Vinyl to CD with albums of this era, Its always nice to see the B side of the single that ususally wasn't on the vinyl release due to space included... Ace of Spades / Dirty Love... Bomber / Over The Top... Overkill / Too Late, Too Late. Oh and The Golden Years, Live EP... think thats included on Overkill... [Edit: Bomber] Edited October 31, 2020 by PaulThePlug
Monkey Steve
Haven’t sprung for this one...yet...but I probably will the main bonus from the recent Bomber and Overkill reissues were the live albums - I could take or leave the remasters of the actual albums, but the live recordings are excellent. Ace of Spades comes with two live recordings, and I’m looking forward to hearing those if you have no interest in that, fine. Nobody’s forcing you to buy the new set. Not sure why there’s any need for hostility towards those of us that do want to spend our own money on things we want that have nothing to do with anybody else
Doctor J
Hostility towards people who buy reissues? What are you talking about?

Rich
Extra tracks on re-issues: B-sides, live EPs etc - good. 'Unreleased tracks' - not so much. As has been said, generally they're unreleased for a reason.
joeystrange
This is how the music industry works. I have absolutely no doubt that this would still have been released even if Lemmy, Phil and Eddie were still here.
Stub Mandrel
I have no problem with the reissues etc. What I can't handle is the way Lemmy has become a sort of barbie doll substitute for people who probably haven't heard anything other than Ace of Spades. (He says wearing a shirt with Lemmy on the front...)
TimR
Allegedly he left around £1/2m in his estate. There is only going to be money from future royalties of recordings.
