Astoroth
Hi, The tweeter/compression driver/horn (whatever you want to call itĀ š) has stopped working on one of my HX410's. Driver is fine, checked fuse on circuit board and can see its blown. Hartke in all their wisdom have covered it with gunk andĀ I can't see what its rating is.....anyone know? Bill Fitzmaurice
Make sure it's a fuse, not a bulb. A fuse would normally be in a holder that makes it easy to replace.
Astoroth
Thanks Bill but its definitely not easy to replace either way, I'm going to have to take the whole thing apart as everything is soldered on the circuit board, no clips or connectors so speakers out wiring out and then I'll post some pics as well asĀ let you all know what fuse/bulb it isĀ š¤£
BassmanPaul
I very much doubt it's a fuse. Normally a lamp is used so that as the current increases to the high range circuit the lamp lights more, the resistance across it increasesĀ and reduces the signal to the high driver protecting the diaphragm.Ā
