Very sad news. Sure a good few of us on here have played this venue down through the years.

Love the Billy, played there many times with Boxeddy, Toe's Mavern, Grounded and Nothing Scientific and always had great nights

Will miss packing away in the dark while the PA blasts a barrage of metal tunes !!!

Fingers crossed it will be back in some form in the future

I had some cracking nights, both playing and watching bands, in the Billy. That's a real blow to the music scene in Northampton.

As an ex Northampton resident, the Billy was a constant source of gigs for the 3 piece band i was in at the time.   What a bluddy shame.

I loved that on the tills, if you ordered a pint of Fosters it came up on the readout as Kangaroo Pi55.

Played there a few times in the 80’s, good live venue.

Its a real shame it’s closing down, sadly it will be one of many due to this damn 🦠

I grew up in there, it was my local from the age of 16 (OK maybe a tad before that!) I played for their pool teams, I rented my first flat purely because it was only 5 minutes walk / 20 minutes stagger from the pub, I met my lads mum in there, I really am saddened to see it go.
