Beautiful man - nice to see a different/new name of bass around these parts - the curves are rather lovely and the top wood is scrummy... I look forward to seeing the end result.

It is indeed but look closely at the bass in the back, this looks awesome as well :)

Just a close up for the guys who like a nice top :rolleyes:

Wow this is one tasty looking build.

I'm really loving that top and I hope thats going to get a suitably deep high gloss finish too?

I think that body shape should work really well too. Novel enough to stand out but practical enough for a gigging workhorse.

I have this dream of a ten string (2 courses of five) and I think it would work really well with that body shape as the elongated top horn would help compensate for all the tuner hardware.

Nice build, looking forward to seeing more of this one.

It's going to be dyed red and oiled/waxed and that's it. Should hopefully end up looking like this :

A proper update now :)

The body has been routed and carved
[attachment=26517:Body.jpg]

The fretboard has been attached to the neck
[attachment=26520:Neck.jpg]

The veneers for headstock are in place
[attachment=26518:Headstock.jpg]

And a mock-up of the bass (there's no neck pocket yet)

Can't wait for it to be finished :rolleyes: ETA - Next month :lol:

Cheers

Hey Jack, excuse the dumb question - is this going to be a set neck or bolt on? And is that central route for a ramp?

Looking good!

Hi Mikey,

There's no such thing as dumb questions :)

It will be bolt-on and yes the central route is for a fully adjustable ramp which will be made of the same ebony as the fretboard.

Cheers
Jack
