HELP PLEASE. Ashdown Abm Evo iii 500w 115 Vombo

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi all

I'm looking at a UK made abm evo iii 116 500w combo.

Any good?

Loud enough for rehearsal?

Loud enough for gigs (varying sizes but will be put through foh)

Reasonable used price?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Iain

Cant say which EVO version I’ve used but I’ve used a lot of the Ashdown ABM combos over the years and all have been plenty loud enough - we were a street punk band so not quiet. Never had to push them too far for on stage volume, neither me or the guitarist were keen on bass in the monitors so whichever amp I was using needed to be able to cover the stage volume on its own.

Thanks for your reply Lozz. I used to have a mag years ago and that wasn't exactly a quiet amp. I'm just intrigued as it's local to me and it's not particularly expensive!

That’s all you need to know 😄

haha, I guess. I mean it looks in reasonable condition and the lad only wants £180 for it. I've seen a couple of the 2x10's go on here for £160 though.

Offer £160. If you don't ask....

It's only worth what someone's willing to pay. If you're happy to pay £180, pay.. Of if not, don't or leave your offer on the table for 48 hours. See what happens.
