I think the decal is suspect and never seen an orange burst effect on a fender p.
Nibody
Body looks like a MightyMite one - seen that burst before, sure it was MightyMite. Decal looks odd - is it out of position? Bitser?
Marc S
He keeps saying it's 100% genuine & original..... a bit too often for my liking That decal does look a bit off-position. I must say, I like the colour of the body though
ped
Even if it was 100% original and untouched it would still be well overpriced
Nibody
Going to go out on a limb and say that even IF the neck was genuine (to which I have my doubts) the body is either a Mighty Mite or Warmoth. I can remember looking into buying a P body a few years back and seeing a finished one available from either Mighty mite or Warmoth in that exact burst (remember it because I hated the colour)

Agreed the decal is way too high up, but the colour just looks like a Sienna Burst with an overly saturated photo. But if it was all genuine, isn't that really expensive for a 78 fretless P? I mean, is that the going rate for a late 70s P now? edit: No, Sienna burst wasn't intro'd until 79 Edited November 17, 2020 by Woodinblack

It's the gap between the S and 90 that gets me.
andy67
If you remove the gap and use S908282 - https://www.guitarinsite.nl/serienummers-fender_eng.php Similar headstock with no gap in the serial: https://www.12fret.com/sold/fender-precision-bass-1978/ Edited November 17, 2020 by andy67
