Skybone Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Maybe BMG "ranĀ out of words" (well, apart from "goodbye")? 1 Quote
Eldon Tyrell Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Morrissey:Ā Please, please, please let me get what I want BMG: You are a charming man and a handsome devil, but money changes everything, so we have to drop you now. Morrissey: May I ask, how soon is now? BMG: That joke isn't funny anymore. Morrissey: Well I wonder, what difference does It make? I donāt own you anything! BMG: Bigmouth strikes again. Donāt panic, youāve got everything now. Morrissey: Ok, I know itās over.Ā š 2 4 Quote
Lozz196 Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 Must admit after reading that was very surprised about his praise/affiliation with far right stuff, not what I expected, and can understand any record company wanting to remove themselves from that. 1 Quote
YouMa Posted November 17, 2020 Posted November 17, 2020 I do think the man has a point regarding free speech being slowly eradicated in this country unless you are left wing. I dont really rate much of his stuff after the 90s but the Smith's were a fantastic band. Morrissey always comes across as very bitter and passive aggressive in interviews. I'm sure he has enough money to survive though. 1 Quote
yorks5stringer Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Typical right winger putting Florists out of business. 1 1 Quote
Little Dragon Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 While reading. (gloating) about his removal from the label, it stated that he is still going to release his cover of the Jam's, That's Entertainment. I hope to never hear that. 3 Quote

Anway, we're breaking forum rules here and don't want to get the thread locked (robbing our freedom of speechĀ ). 5 Quote

lemmywinks Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 From the article: "Everyone ultimately prefers their own race ā does this make everyone racist?ā Ā I love it when bigots out themselves without even realising it, what a plank. 2 Quote
YouMa Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Morrissey is his own worst enemy which is a shame and I think it was probably him who caused a lot of the friction in The Smith's. Andy Rourke is a great bass player. Quote
Lfalex v1.1 Posted November 18, 2020 Posted November 18, 2020 Uh... Did he not release a song called "National Front Disco"? Ā Quote
