vStrings
Most of you probably knew about it already... I think this looks very, very promising!
Stingray5
Thanks for posting this. Very interesting and great to see a different side to 'the man'. Plus I gotta get me a 'Roadie' tuner!
OliverBlackman
I had earmarked this because I’m a fan of Stanley but that was hard work. I watched over 10 minutes but couldn’t stand anymore. It’s so badly cut together and produced and there was so little content.
toneknob
Well the production value is unsurprisingly high, and it's nice to see a solo Lopsy Lu. And Clayton Cameron is brilliant. But some of it grates, eg here's my shiny red sports car with a double bass rammed in the back seat. HERE ARE. SOME SALIENT POINTS. I AM TRYING. TO. MAKE. The vintage video effect over the Stan/Cam section.
Doddy
I thought it was pretty good. I like seeing and hearing people like Stanley talk about some of their ideas. It was good to see Carlitos Del Puerto on there too. I think he's one of the best bass players around right now.
stewblack
Just about to post this, actually searched first and found this thread. Imagine if we all did that, the mods would be out of a job. 1
Chris2112
I haven't watched this yet but I will check it out at some point. I do feel like now though, everyone and his dog has been on the bandwagon for making their own bass discussion show for youtube. I don't know if I can fit another one into my schedule! visog
I love Stanley. That's my start-point. As for 'Bass Nation' I enjoyed it. I think the theme, 'Be prepared' was pretty widely interpreted to mean anything, particularly in terms of producers hiring you. Ironically, I think Stanley stands a a voice who would never get hired except to be himself. I agree with earlier posters who said CDP was a monster!. Didn't really get the sports car segment. So an uneven experience for me regards the video. Can't help liking him tremendously though from my first Clarke-Duke concert in the '80s when he got bass players out of the audience to jam with him. Not me - too nervous but some guy gave him a run for his money!
Bassfinger
It started well but slowly descended into what Alan Partridge would be like were he a bass player.
