Did you notice the Ashdown 4x10 cab with blueline speakers in the room where Ian came up with Spasticus Autisticus? 

Was that an error that only bass nerds would notice or have they actually been around that long? 

Can't think of the actors name but he was brilliant as Ian Dury I thought.

Great film though - saw it back in the day at an actual cinema.

Ian Dury and the Blockheads were an integral part of my upbringing, so much so that I really badly want to take Derek the Draw's place. His delivery is just too low key, Ian had real fire in him.

Andy Serkis was incredibly good - the audio is him singing with the Blockheads throughout, I wish I had seen them perform together.

Couldn't remember Andy Serkis' name so looked him up he was raised in Ruislip and Ian Dury in Harrow so they both grew up in similar areas. That may have helped in getting the performance so good.

I think I saw it a few years ago, they didn’t rose tint his unpleasant side if I remember.

Great film, great frontman, great band.

I loved it. Wonderful film. Follow the BEEB link to his desert island discs appearance . Taken straight after the film it's really quite interesting.
