kristo
I’m loving my Rivoli Bass, but I’d like to try and get the pickup a little closer to the strings. Has anyone done this successfully? I’m thinking I could just take out the four screws holding it in, remove the cover plate, and put some kind of dense foam under the pickup to raise it up. I might need longer screws to refit, but would that work? Cheers. Edited November 21, 2020 by kristo
LeftyJ
You could try raising the pole pieces first, that might beefen things up already.
kristo
I’ve raised them quite a bit, but the pickups around 7mm from the strings.
kristo
Just realised I’ve put this in the wrong place. Could a mod please move it?

kristo
Yes, it’s that gap which I’m not too sure on. I wish you could get some kind of mudbucker spacer like you can dogear P90s.
