Status Scratchplate Content

I've been busy with some scratchplate material and the Router...which do you prefer and why?

Black -Stock

Vintage White

Tort? Or there is another colour pattern you think would be best?

Black for me, looks great with the burst edges and the neck colour.

To be fair all three look very decent though!

Black, White is too stark and i dont do tort... might be something to do with being colour blind. tort just looks messy to me.

Got any clear, or light tint?... 'cos ya got the scratch plate holes... keeps the lines and the vibe... and ya get 30% more wood!

All three look ace. I debated off white/cream when I had the bass - the dots are like an aged white.

but the bass is lush so it’s all good.

My order of preference is black / tort / white.

Can we have a naked picture too? (Of the Bass, sans scratch plate...... you know what I mean 😳)

Here I am almost naked....cheapest one yet, just an A3 sheet of Perspex, 2mm thick!

White is too bright on that bass.

I don't like the totally bare look because of the screw holes but this is OK but I need to take it off and fettle it a touch and clean the dust from behind it too!

 

I'm hoping for new slippers this Christmas...

That's better. I think I'd have black screws,  though. That'd be very subtle then.

Silver screws match the hardware... knobs, bridge, machine heads etc.
