Hi guys! As promised here is the review of the new Harley Benton MB-4 in satin black. In the video you will find the review in Italian (unfortunately I do not speak English well) and from the minute 11:12 the sound test. From next week instead (like as usual) I will publish a series of ad hoc bass covers played with this bass so I invite you to subscribe to the channel to not miss the next updates ... enjoy!

Ive just ordered a b stock pb20 sbk

Will get the mb4 sbk in future

I'm fighting the urge to do something like that. I don't need another Precision but... and I don't need another Stingray... BUT uufff... that looks amazing and it would be nice to have my Stingray with rounds as it is and another with flats... no, no, no, stay away! :D

Been reading around today, and it seems these are made in China and South Korea by the same firm that makes Epiphone guitars for Gibson, which likely explains how they punch so far above their weight for the money.

Nice one

Any instrument you can gig with for £100 is insane.Mine will be for recording

Meanwhile back in 1986, my first electric guitar cost new something around £100 and was a pretty poor instrument. Amazing.

Agreed. I paid over £100 for mine in the 90s and it was a POS.

In terms of kit its a golden age for bassists and guitarists.  Highly playable instruments and capable amps, kit, interfaces, effects, etc, at prices would have got you an egg slicer 3 decades ago.

Hi guys! This is the first bass cover that I propose to you with the new Harley Benton MB-4 in satin black color. A first test for this cheap copy of the legendary Stingray struggling with a Rage Against the Machine classic. Enjoy and don't forget to subscribe to the channel to keep you updated on my next videos!

Ordered one of these following the feedback on the MB-4.

https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_mm_84a_sb_deluxe_series.htm

Arrived Wednesday and indeed it is a very fine bass for £149 B-stock.

Purchased for the 24 fret neck and the positioning of the bridge closer to the neck.

I will post a follow-up on the Bitsa thread.

Well, finally a decision: no, I won't be buying one.

This is because it seems that my girlfriend is buying the MB-5 for me ;)

That tortoiseshell style pickguard has to go 'though. It's got to be black.

I thought that about the guard but it`s actually growing on me, I might vinyl wrap it black at some point though just to check as there won`t be an off the shelf replacement available.
