This ad caused me to get my Leftie JO out and compare with my Fender CS Jazzes.Ā  I think the J/O is a real workhorse compared with the Fenders.Ā  It has what I think is a slab fret board,Ā  The neck is slimmer, but at the same time more stable.Ā  It sounds less vintage, but clear and full.Ā  Altogether these are brilliant basses and (if I were right handed) I would be all over this!

This is a custom order Lakland right.?

Depends how you look at it. All Lakland US models are 'custom orders', but depends whether they built it directly for a customer, or perhaps a dealer.
I think nowadays they tend to just ship out their reduced-options 'Classic' US models to dealers, perhaps with the odd "Ltd colour' or whatever, but I imagine the full US customs make their way to dealers too.
