Maybe common place but I thought this was a bit fly...?

I'm hoping to be in the market for a nice addition when funds allow in the coming months, loosely keeping an eye on the classified section here and the 'bay, Bass Direct etc.

Kept checking back on a really tidy Ultra Jazz that BD had; though it sold a few days ago

I feel these are pretty overpriced brand new but this looks to be mint and was listed for £1399, pretty good I thought.

Now it looks like The Bass Gallery have bought it and are selling the exact bass for £1750? Photos are taken under totally different lighting but i'm 100% sure it's the same bass.

Ask them directly, see what they say.

In all honesty, The Bass Gallery often appear to be overpriced, their pre-owned gear too. Pretty sure anything you would want that they sell can be found elsewhere for far less!

Stuff sold by both shops are on commission so I suppose someone could have it in both shops at least in theory, though you’d be annoyed if you turned up to the wrong one to play it!

The body looks exactly the same but just to confuse things even more the neck is different...black / gold logos. 🤔

Haha yeah for sure! But it's listed as "Sold" on BD so I just assumed The Gallery just bought it and are punting it themselves?

I did notice that too but I think it's the way the light's hitting it - The inlays appear to have the same dark streaks. I need to get a life I think!

Its the same bass, the 'marbling' on the fret markers are identical between the photos. The black/gold logo is just the different light used when photographing.

Same serial number too. I don’t think it’s just appeared at the Bass Gallery either, if you sort by Date Added it’s not up the top
