There is plenty of people doing bass patches for HX stomp, are there any downloadable(free or paid) patched for Ampero 2 for bass? Honestly not sure on that one... I've seen a guy on YouTube offering patches that sound good in his demoes, but for me half the fun is experimenting with amp models etc. I know the guitar presets sound tremendous, so I can only assume there are at least a couple of decent bass ones
Baloney Balderdash
Seriously consider getting one of these. But I need to know if you can make several parallel paths within the same patch, and control the mix of them individually? It's either this or the Boss GT-1000CORE, but I'd much prefer the HoTone, and not just because of the price, and doesn't really need to be able to run 3 parallel signal chains as the Boss allows for, but it would be crucial to be able to run several parallel paths within the same patch. Like this for example: ................... ............ ....... -> [effect] ................ ....................... .. -> [effect] -> [effect] -> [effect] -< ................. >-> [effect] -> [effect] -<........ ..........>-> [effect] ............. ............... .......... -> [effect] .............. ................ ........... -> [effect] Edited June 1 by Baloney Balderdash

With the hotone, it's either 1 continuous chain of 12 blocks or two chains of 6 with the split in and out being wherever you choose...

Freddie B
Hello I'm thinking about the ampero stomp just from the reviews. I have the zoom b3n and the b2 four. But I was kinda wanting the ampero for the ease of using the display, the editing on the laptop/tablet and phone(I have a windows laptop, and Android phone and a apple tablet to use for monitoring at shows). Sooo if I can find one at a decent price I might get it and play around with it. I have found mor info with the ampero and the helix but I don't think I want the helix. Being somewhat new to the multi effects thing I want to get a great amp less sound for fly shows. I have a ROLLS unit and use IEM's for monitoring. I want to feel comfortable with my sound with the IEM's and for FOH

I want to feel comfortable with my sound with the IEM's and for FOH On paper at least the Ampero II Stomp is superior, and cheaper, to the Helix HX Stomp. So is the Boss GT-1000CORE, well superior, on paper at least, that is, but it is also more expensive than both. Where the HX Stomp is superior to both the Boss and HoTone is that Line6, as far as I gathered at least, is a bit more generous when it comes to updates of the firmware with new effects and functions included (I might have gotten that wrong though). Regardless though all 3 I would say would be a substantial upgrade to your current Zoom units, especially when it comes to amp emulations and cab sims (as well as you would gain the ability to run parallel effect chains (and in this aspect the Boss is objectively much more flexible and vastly superior to both the HX and Ampero Stomp)). Freddie B
Hello BASS CHAT My ampero ii stomp will arrive tomorrow (at least that's what the email says) I'm excited to play around with unit and get into it. I also ordered the 2 and 4 button foot switches to see which w one will work for me so if I want to tune I can have it on a separate button. Ooooooo can't wait.

Freddie B
The Ampero stomp is here!! Now I have played around with the unit it's self looking on line and trying to figure it out. I would like to get the editor on my laptop, it's a windows 10 laptop and I can't get anything to work 😡😡 "device not connected". I have installed un installed 3 or 4 times over 3hrs and nothing. It has the 2.0 version maybe I shouldn't have but I did a factory reset on it. What should I do? The unit is stuck on this and the editor is this. Again installed, uninstalled and this is it. A lot of hours put into trying to understand the unit and it beat me Edited June 6 by Freddie B

stewblack
From the FB group Sticky: how to get your new Ampero Stomp 2 up and running without issue. Here's some 'if I had my time again' advice. I'm going a bit on memory here so others may wish to correct the advice. This is based on a device that was at hardware v1.0.0 and firmware version v1.0.0 (press Global/ About to see your version numbers). I am using Win10. Before plugging the Stomp in or switching it on, download the generic USB Asio driver, the latest version of the firmware and the Stomp Editor software. With the Stomp disconnected, install the Asio driver and the Editor software. Restart your computer. Connect your Stomp to the computer using the supplied USB lead. Some people have found that it is better to make a direct connection to the computer rather than going through a USB hub. Switch on your Stomp. Run the Editor software. If your Stomp isn't recognised, try changing the USB lead or connecting directly to the computer rather than through a hub. If it still isn't recognised, you probably need to update the firmware. The process is described in the Editor software, which will be saying that it can't find a device. Basically, you hold down three particular buttons on the Stomp as you switch it off and on, then browse to where you downloaded the latest version of the firmware, then press go. If your device is now listed under Control Panel/ Sound, or under Device Manager, but the Editor software still can't see it: go to https://www.hotoneaudio.com/support/2 and select the "Solution of Ampero II and Stomp Hardware & Software Connection Problem." Note that the location of the updated audio driver software is described on page 2. When you click the audio update file, it will probably suggest that you extract all files before running them. Be careful of where you extract them to as the file names can exceed the 256 letter limit in Windows. If you just extract to your desktop or Downloads you'll be fine. Having done this, my Stomp was recognised by the Editor software and as an audio device b y Windows.
Freddie B
I FINALLY GOT THE EDITOR TO WORK!!!! After staying up till 3am and trying again at 3pm. When the editor was loading there was a Microsoft c++ saying that it would run better if I did something can't remember, but the last time I just hit closed and dag gone if the editor was there. OMG I'm so relieved. I have a b2 four and can't get to work on the laptop, have to use my ipad that I use for monitoring and a camera adapter 🙄. We'll any something finally working right

Freddie B
HELLOOOOO BC OK here it is, the Ampero II Stomp is AWWWWESOME. I used it over the weekend 6/8/24 along with the controller an had a blast. I was amazed that I put a patch together. Granted I need to learn a little more about both, but what I did just putting the patches together on the unit helped. The 4 button controller was a great accessory. I also have the 2 button one also but didn't use it. With the help of this site and the encouragement it was easier to deal with. Again I THANK YOU.
