BREXIT effects on the 2nd hand bassmarket

Okay.. so it seems that whatever the deal BREXIT is for real which most likely will mean that trades between the UK and EU countries will involve import duties & vat and most probably delays in deliveries for the start up time. Generally speaking this means and add-on of about 25%. What will be the effects? Will Basschat continue to be one of the biggest European marketplaces? Will new marketplace initiatives kick off? Will the asking prices of basses go down to compensate, also considering Covid-19? Or will buying/selling between the UK and EU simply become too expensive? Will we more easiliy start buying and selling to other places in the world? What are your thoughts about this?

I think that for your run of the mill stuff that's readily available everywhere people will start to shop locally - i.e. UK buyers in the UK only.

High end, hard to come buy, gear will still be desirable wherever and those who really want it will need to pay the premium.

Expect new sales for Warwick/ Maru and the like to drop within the UK so those already here will become in demand.

European buyers for Status, Overwater, Wal and the like will also have to bite the bullet.

Following  representations from the Basschat Massif, No 10 Downing Street will commission the new 'Boris Bass' and Dido Harding will be tasked with ensuring this is distributed ( via a friend from the golf club with a £17m contract ) to all Bassists in the UK. Loosely based on the Emperors New Clothes, the Basses start changing hands at well over the £5000 list price, even though none will ever be delivered. A Mark Two version with 4 Tiers is promised for the following December ( and touted as the ideal Christmas present) but in August 2021 Boris, reacting to criticism he left cancelling Christmas 2020  too late, cancelled it early this time. Trading of Basses and other Musical items with the EU and other countries  was halted until 2023 when the backlogs of food and vaccines at the Ports were eventually cleared.

Boris the Brexiteer does have a problem for every solution but luckily, according to the modern leader handbook contradicting yourself is a problem that leads to solutions.
