MXR phase 90 volume drop

Hi everyone, I’ve just added a phase 90 to my board and there is a noticeable drop in output when it’s activated. I’ve tried it on its own and it still occurs. This is a brand new pedal so I can always send it back .

Sussed it, there’s no problem with it if using it pre amp. If I use the fx loop it’s not happy, needs a buffer 👍

ironically I found the correct thread on here after I found the answer myself 🤦‍♂️
