SOLD. Burns Shadows Bass John Rostill limited edition, Trade Added £650 Bristol-ish

Trades? well I play 5's but would like a passive 4 to put flats on, a "string through" Fender Mustang or similar short scale or a 90's USA P bass with money either way.

This is a Burns "limited edition" John Rostill Shadows Bass, 1964 reissue from the late 2000's. It has a white polyester finish, alder body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Full 33.5 inch scale. It has been well gigged so read the condition report, but is still keenly priced. It plays well and sounds great and gets positive comments when used. A Fantastic instrument for a retro or modern band. It is currently strung with flats. It is a very usable instrument
The Shadows bass (and Burns guitars) are collectable and are not currently being made so this is a rare chance to get one of these at this price.
Condition report: This bass is well used and has numerous small marks from normal use and a lacquer crack near the neck joint (pictured). There is one tuner key missing. The mechanism can still be tuned by using one of the other "push on" tuning keys although I am sure that the new owner will want to replace it. Note: As Burns are not trading at the moment I have been unable to get a replacement key but I see that they plan to begin trading again soon..
It comes with original Burns imitation alligator/wooden construction hard shell case, which is tatty, well used but still in one piece.

Hi, not sure of the exact weight but it is somewhere in the middle? It isn't lightweight. I would guess at over 10lb but less than 10.5.

I prefer not to export far the way things are at the moment. I had a possible buyer the USA but am not comfortable to ship far ATM

Updated 1st post to include trades and in that this is probably a limited edition rather than Elite Custom. To all intensive purposes they are the same guitar (thanks Jay).
