Am probably similar to others in that the RM is backup to my ABM600 but inĀ rehearsal roomsĀ - when weāre allowed to of course - there isnāt that much difference in them. 1 Quote

It arrived this morning and a quick test with the Ampeg PF115LF cabĀ First points this is very much louder than the Ampeg PF800 in my opinionĀ EQ and tone adjustment is also better and I found very good tones quickly, the shape button alone gets you nearly there. Fan is very quiet and build quality is good Looks good visually sitting on the Ampeg cab so may keep cab ( itās a great cab ) Input VU level at first looks like it does get close to the red zone unless you max the input but it becomes apparent that the input level rises also as you boost EQ settings etc, on my PBass passive input set around 1pm was about rightĀ I think this is a great lightweight head and think Ashdown have got this line of amps spot on. I would imagine the RM500 would of also been loud enough for me but seeing as the price was virtually the same it was a no brainer reallyĀ All features seem to work well, compressor ( ok but I tend not to use ) Drive nice if used in moderation and the lovely SubHarmoniser again if used on low is greatĀ The only thing I guess I had the ABM115 Ashdown cab but thatās only from a matching look reason Ā !
