I remember your ones stew, didn’t you switch to BF cabs, how do they compare, I’ve been tempted by those many times, the one I want is the dubster but they don’t come up very often

I don't regret the BF cabs at all. Better dimensions than the MB for one thing and handle any and every thing I can throw at them.

But the ny151s just had a certain character to the sound which I liked.

I have a question for the RM EVO II users. Just curious actually. Does the Output knob has "positions" like the EVO I or is it linear (like any ABM)?

Positions as far is I can remember

So if you're OCD, it's impossible to set it smack in the middle?! 😂😬

I hate it. It's the only thing I'd change!

Odd how these little things either niggle or add a little something isn't it?

I quite like it too, now I come to think of it. But I don't actually know why! It's probably just a response to a tactile sensation.

Yeah I know, it's just such a small thing! I don't like being forced to set the knob in a particular position, however miniscule. It certainly won't stop me from using the amp at every opportunity mind!

Anyone interested, I've just had an email from Ashdown to tell me that the RM gig bags are now back in stock, at £49.99 with an additional £8.00 delivery.

Note though, they are £7.99 cheaper from GAK, albeit still not showing in stock.

whats the difference between them ?

Not a lot! The newer EVO II model is lighter and has the cool black fascia. The EVO model has the chrome fascia. That’s about it I think

thanks. in that case i think ill get one and join the club .

I don’t think you’ll be disappointed, I’ve got the RM500 , they have a full range of tones from heavy deep dubby bass to bright funk, the shape button also adds more to that, they are also surprisingly powerful 🙂

I've got an RM 800 head, can't remember what evo number and it's on the other side of the room with a cover over it - far too difficult to check!

I use mine with a Barefaced Super Compact, works well for most gigs. I have a Trace Elliot Elf in my bag as a backup which I also use for small gigs (even less to carry).

I know roughly where they were set, but I had my settings set perfectly where I wanted them on my RM800...only for my three year old to come into the room yesterday when I'm not in and fire everything up to 100%...🙈😂

That’s brilliant 😁, all those shiny knobs were just too tempting to play with  🙂
