Wanted one for ages. Can’t find a good ‘in for love nor money. Preferably natural.

It took a while to find and is going nowhere.

Fantastic basses for very little money.

It’s a partscaster...

I spec’d a hollow body with a builder, got a modern P neck, added a Grainger bridge and knobs and popped an Oil City custom wound 51P pickup with dual coils so it humbucks. The finish is Danish Oil.

I've developed a sudden and unexpected GAS for one of these since seeing @Quilly's thread yesterday.

There's something else I'm saving my pennies for at the moment, but if there's any change....

Yeah , I’ve noticed a few bits that are indicative of the low price but overall it’s a pretty decent cheap acoustic bass. See other thread

Blue, orange or vintage sunburst, unless you sand the colour off...or magenta in the lesser seen 2pu Billy Sheehan model.

While it really like the sound and look of the 51 p bass. My thumb can’t get used to that pickup position. I tried that Harley Benton p bass. Great bass but I couldn’t get on with it . I just find the traditional p bass a more comfortable bass.

Yeah, I kinda see the sunburst as “natural”

I do like the blue and Orange ones as well tho

I play with my thumb resting on the string below, so it doesn’t bother me - if anything I find the lack of contouring more of an issue

I had developed gas for those, which is why I searched for and found Quillys thread and brought it back to life!

I think I saw it on an advert for G4M

Lucky to be relatively bass gas free atm. Only because I'm suffering horrendous pedal gas instead.

However there are a few on my long standing wish list. Notably this -

Had three of these and a T45...........incredibly versatile, bloody heavy but a lot of fun with tones and stuff.  About 450 quid if I remember right?

Of all the things I have GAS for at the moment, the most persistent is for a fun lefty shortscale. Top of my GAS-list would be this Atelier Z Baby Z:
