£849...hum.

in that bracket. Are these made in Mexico? Bit out of the loop on these new Charvels.

A mate has a a San Dimas guitar and seems to be enjoying it.

Love a bright sparkly P/J though.

This is easily the best looker for my eyes. The spec seems to be pretty decent for that money. I don’t have any knowledge of the dimarzio pickups though. Volume, Blend and three band eq. Lumilay side markers too and a torified neck.

Got to be worth a punt. Although can’t get my head around what it would do any differently to my Sadowsky...ho hum, wouldn’t be GAS if it was rational though eh?

This is different enough to really stand out but also quite tame. I really like it!

If the fretboard was ebony and the hardware was black it would be a stunner.

Still kinda want one, not for 849 quid tho......

Pretty sure these are made in Fender's Mexican factory.

It's actually a couple of hundred quid cheaper than the nearest equivalent Fender branded active PJ bass from the same facility.

I had one of these in lime green and it was excellent. The only thing that let it down for me was the fact it weighed 10lbs. There are others that weigh considerably less though but sadly mine didn't.

Got a bit of bad press on the pre amps, mines as quiet as a mouse and very useable.

I remember that YouTube demo of an early one, and had been wondering if they had sorted out the preamp and shielding – really pleased to hear it's all good now :)

No tone control in passive mode, just like the new Meteora.

That's some forward thinking, there!

Not to mention they still refuse to properly shield them.

They know it's an issue but they just don't care.

Mine’s as good as any inside, shielding on cover and no missing paint anywhere.

Very neat actually, must have been the first batch which had problems.
