Always liked their JJ bass, again, instead of the current horrors.

This really appeals to me, what scale length were they? It's a far more sensible offering rather than those horrible Bitsa efforts. Did Jackson offer a YTS scheme at anytime?

I think they’re 32” - this is a pretty uncommon finish, normally seen in black or black with ghost flames which changed orange to purple.

this one is on reverb at about £650 currently.

I generally like most variations of the violin bass but this one just doesn't work for me - 1960's Teisco.

That wonky neck pickup, body too wide and the bridge cover

Agreed. And the square-cornered control plate. I hate it just as badly on real Höfners, it would look so much better with rear-routed access to the pots and wiring and direct-mount pots.

IC. TBH, "CBXNT DX IV" is a fitting name for such a [censored] bass 😁

What were they smoking?

Ok, the finish of the green one is called "Absinth Frost", well, that explains a lot 😉

Or the Ssangyong Rodius... the car described by Clarkson as looking like it had 'been bottled in a pub fight and then stitched back together by a blind man'.
And yet, remarkably, still better looking than that Jackson bass.

But in the family canon...they had this Ric-inspired gem...they could’ve done a rework.

That’s actually really nice, albeit a bit too 4005 derived.....:i-m_so_happy:

Hmmmmm.....the missus has something that looks like that, in the drawer of her bedside cupboard.   Who’d have thought she was a closet bassist? :scratch_one-s_head:

That looks like it was made from a boxing glove.  Punchy tone, I expect.

Our previous queen was driven around in one of these, until she had it replaced with a stretched Volvo S80 of the first generation:
